At nnoTrans2026, we welcomed Traxtion, who is building a locomotive powered by our 2,250 hp BeHydro dual fuel hydrogen engine.
Together with Traxtion, Entra Engineering and CMB.TECH, we are working to bring hydrogen technology to the rail sector in Namibia. The BeHydro engine can operate on both diesel and hydrogen, providing a practical pathway to reduce emissions while maintaining the performance required for demanding rail operations.
The hydrogen will be produced locally at CMB.TECH Namibia’s facility in Walvis Bay, connecting local green hydrogen production with a concrete mobility application.
